Work Record 3
For this shoot, I went into my friend's garden and took pictures of her flowers using a clear glass ball and a mirror for some of the photos.
Unfortunately, I lost my SD card, therefore the photos I have enlarged are screen grabs and had ended up slightly blurry due to the lack of quality.
For this shoot, I was inspired mostly by Imogen Cunningham because I like the way she take pictures of flowers and make them look delicate and fragile. Therefore, I wanted to achieve something similar but with my own style of creating reflection. Cunningham would use strong lights to shine through the petals to make them look more transparent and as if they were tissue paper.

Best Images
I like this photo because it is centred nicely in the middle and circling outwards making the photo seem more symmetrical and balanced. Also, I like how the flower has a few drops of rain on it creating extra texture.
I like this because of the way there are on two solid colours. The pink and the green are complementary colours so it makes the photo seem more pleasing to the eye. Also, I like how the flower circles into the frame and is a lot more brighter compared to the dark green background.
I like this photo as well for similar reasons as the photo above. In my opinion, the photo looks more pleasing to the eye and the petals are a different shape making the photo have additional texture.
I like this photo because I was able to experiment in different ways how to create reflection in person. I like how the flower still stands out, even though the photo as a whole looks very busy due to how much is going on.
Worst Images
I don't like this photo because you're not able to see the flower that easily through the ball. Also, I don't like how my hand is in the photo because it makes it more distracting in the frame.
I don't like this photo either for similar reasons because there are hardly any flowers in the ball due to the flower bed being very spaced out. Also, my hand take up a lot of the frame making it more distracting. Therefore, this makes the photo seem more displeasing to the eye.
AO1 - The artist I researched was Imogen Cunningham for this shoot and I found her useful because I was able to frame the photo similar to how she does, to make the main focus the flower. I tried to make the photos seem more delicate by taking the pictures up close to the petals and able to see more detail.
AO2 - For all of my photos I used a Canon 600D. I set part of this shoot to ISO 200 however, when it started to rain, I set my camera to ISO 400 and my shutter speed was set to 1/125. My aperture was set differently throughout the whole shoot, depending where about I was in the garden and when it started raining I had to manipulate my settings.
AO3 - For this shoot, my idea of recording Reflection in Nature was to take pictures of flowers and use multiple different methods in Photoshop to create reflection. This shoot will allow me to experiment with different techniques and develop my portfolio further.
AO4 - This shoot becomes more personal to my project because I am able to experiment a lot more with these photos to create the illusion of reflection. These images are closely linked to Imogen Cunningham because I have used a similar framing work to what she does to help my photos seem more intriguing.
Manipulating My Photos
I like how my edited photos came out because I was able to experiment with different techniques in Photoshop to create reflection. I could use styles like this for my portfolio to develop it further and show how I have experimented with different techniques.
