Christoffer Relander
Christoffer Relander is Finnish photographer who uses both people and nature to produce one photo. Half way through my component, I decided that I wanted to experiment more with my photos and develop on my idea of Reflection in Nature. Therefore, I did more research and I discovered this photographer who I took a lot of inspiration from.
I like this photo because the face slowly blends into the leaves smoothly making the photo seem more peaceful and relaxing. Additionally, I like how you can see the face and the leaves in a lot of detail and they don't make the photo look too busy.
I like this photo because the model is in black and white and the landscape the mountains is in colour helping the landscape stand out further. Additionally, I like how he has made an equal balance between the landscape photo and portrait so it makes the image seem more blended in together instead of one over powering the other - creating a relaxing and soothing feel.
I like this photo because it resembles something to what I can do with the resources around me. I live near a forest and this photo gives me ideas on how I could use his technique in my own work because like the image before, Relander used landscape photos that I wouldn't of had access to.
